Another giveaway just for my readers! This time it is 65 Short Mysteries You Solve With Math!

This book is for 11-15 year olds and is recommended by the National Science Teachers Association and endorsed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Calculus wasn't so bad once you knew how it could actually be used. I hated Math for the sake of Math, but once I knew how it could be applied to something, then I loved it.

My junior high Math class with one of my favorite teachers ever. And I usually did not like math. This teacher described cross multiplying as Wikidy Wack Divide, gave us extra credit for baking him cookies (we had to double or half the recipe), and just genuinly loved his students.

My favorite math class was OAC Finite Math (this is grade 13 in Canada, so equal to first year college). I also adored physics. Oddly enough, I'm a liberal arts major (BA and MA in political theory).

I took business math in high school in the dark ages, and then when I went to nursing school, I was in the last class to have math for Pharmacology, then they went to Algebra, I loved math for pharmacology, good thing I passed I still don't understand algebra.. so if my X equals y - what is the answer...LOL
